Terms and Conditions of Business.
GENERAL.
Browns Books is prepared to supply the customer with books and related materials on the basis of the terms as set out below.
ORDERS & DELIVERY.
All charges are in UK pounds (£)
Browns Books wiil accept orders via the website and will begin processing the order after payment has been verified. We only take payment when the order is ready for despatch.
Each item of your order will be charged and shipped out to you as soon as it is available.
Delivery charges to be paid by the customer.
We reserve the right to change delivery rates without notice.
We reserve the right to change the goods/prices without notice subject to change by the publisher.
All items are supplied subject to availability / price at the time of order.
All items are firm sale only.
Each product page has an "Availability" heading giving a "usually ships" time. This is an indicator (not a guarantee) of how long the book will take to reach you once ordered. If the item is out of stock, we will place an order with the publisher. This means it can take longer for the book to reach you. We do endeavour to process your order as quickly as possible, however, books do come in limited print runs and if a book does go to a reprint, it can sometimes take a while for it to appear back on the shelves. You will not be charged until the book is back in stock and has been despatched to you.
Please ensure that your delivery address details are correct as we are unable to correct these details after the order as been placed. We are not responsible for deliveries that fail to reach you due to incorrect or missing infomation.
There are two options available to you when you place your order.
The first is CHEAPEST. These items are despatched together and may involve a wait if one or more of your items is not available. After 30 days wait the available items will be despatched and anyother items will be despatched as and when they become available. Even if more packages are required you will never pay more than the delivery charge shown.
The second is QUICKEST. Items are dispatched as they become available. Your delivery charge is based on an estimate of how many seperate packages will need to be sent. This estimate is based on the availability of the items in your basket and that all items that are in stock will be sent in one package. In this case we estimate that 2 packages will be required. Even if more packages are required you will never pay more than the delivery charge shown.

2nd class £0.50p per item plus £1.75 delivery
1st class £0.65p per item plus £2.10 delivery
Europe
£1.00 per item plus £4.00 delivery
Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia
£3.00 per item plus £4.00 delivery
North America
£3.00 per item plus £4.00 delivery
Australasia/Far East
£3.00 per item plus £5.00 delivery
DELIVERY TIMES
UK
1st class post usually 1-2 working days from the time of despatch.
2nd class post usually 2-5 working days from the time of despatch.
Europe delivery times are between 7-14 working days from the time of despatch.
Rest of the World delivery times are between 24-28 days from the time of despatch.
Orders placed after 3pm may not be despatch on the same day of the order being placed but will be despatched on the next working day.
Orders placed after 3pm on a Friday may not be despatched until the following Monday.
Orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday may not be despatched until the following tuesday.
IMPERFECT/ DAMAGED BOOKS / SHORTAGES.
Customers are requested to contact Browns Books to arrange returns. In the case of an imperfect book, the customer may request a full refund or replacement, within 14 days of receipt of book. In the case of damaged books customers are requested to contact Browns Books within 5 working days of receipt of books. Any shortages or picking errors should be reported within 5 working days of receipt. This does not affect your statutory rights.
RETURNS
If you have ordered the wrong book, for example, you can return it to us, as long as it is in perfect condition. You will be responsible for the return postage and we will only refund your payment when we have received the book back. When sending anything to us please include as many details as possible - your name, address, order number etc. Please do not send payment details through the post as security cannot be guaranteed. Any queries please contact us.
REVIEWS.
Users of the site may post reviews as long as they are not abusive, defamatory, illegal, obscene or threatening. You mau not use this site for political campaigning or commercial solicitation. You may not impersonate any person or party or otherwise mislead as to the origin of any content that you place on the website.Browns Books reserves the right ( but not the obligation ) to remove any content. Because of the thousands of titles on this site it is not possible for us to be aware or responsible for any review that is displayed, if you do discover a review that you find defamatory please email us with the books ISBN and which review it is and we will make all reasonable endeavors to remove it.
COPYRIGHT.
All content on the website is the property of Browns Books, Gardners, Enhance Corporation or the product suppliers and is protected by copyright and database right laws. You may not extract and or use any part of the content of this website without written consent from the above.

TERMS.
"working day" means every day of a calendar year apart from weekends, statutory and public holidays.
